Diggin' Clay

Saturdays, October 1 and 8, from 10 am - 12 noon.

All kids and/or parents ages 7 and up (Children under the age of nine must participate in the workshop with an adult).

Fee: $40 per person or $60 for child and parent together.

Instructor: Michelle McKinney

Location: Glass Pieces Studio at 106 N. Lincoln, West Unity, Ohio.

During this workshop, we will try our hands at working on the potter's wheel, as well as creating some interesting projects through traditional hand-building techniques. We will also have a chance to let the participants give their projects an extra special touch by trying various glazing methods.

Class space is limited to eight to help insure that each participant receives plenty of instruction and assistance throughout the workshop.

Kids Take the Stage and Unarmed Stage Combat

October 11, 13, 18 and 20 from 3:30-5 pm.

Ages 6-12

Location: Archbold Community Library, Archbold, Ohio

Enrollment is limited to 20 students.

Students will have fun learning basic acting technique, scene development and even some unarmed stage combat through hands-on instruction. Students will then work together to create characters, scenes and their final acting projects. Enrollment is limited to 20 students.

Summer 2012 Arts Scholarship Recipients

The Black Swamp Arts Council will recognize the recipients of their Summer Arts Camp Scholarships for 2012. On June 4, a reception will be held at the Archbold Community Library at 7 pm.
