Summer Arts Scholarship 2008

Each year The Black Swamp Arts Council awards students in grades 7 – 11 scholarships to attend arts camps, classes and programs throughout the United States.  Nearly $14,000 has been awarded to students throughout Northwest Ohio since beginning the scholarships in 2002.  Programs have ranged from glass blowing to vocal performance camps to dancing and dramatic arts and have included some of the top arts programs in the country.  Scholarship funding comes from generous donations to the Black Swamp Arts Council from area supporters of the arts and helps further our mission to enhance lives through the advancement of the arts.

To apply for scholarships, students must be in grades 7 through 11.  They must also complete an application and include letters of recommendation as well as information regarding the program they wish to attend.  Decisions are made in early May of each year and monies are awarded in early June.

To apply for the scholarship, print off and complete the "Summer Arts Scholarship Application"  and mail it, along with the letters of recommendations and information on the program to: BSAC, P.O. Box 452, Archbold, Ohio 43502.
